Day Trip: Taal Loop and MGM Ranch

If you are looking for a loop south of Manila that isn’t your typical trip around Kaybiang Tunnel, you might want to consider a trip around Taal Lake through Tagaytay. This route will take you some beginner friendly twisties and backroads, and gives you some enjoyable sceneries as you descend towards places like the Disneyesque, Fantasy World, in Lemery, Batangas.

The resort and ranch offers a unique experience as you dine in some old Spanish era facilities, and get to see your occasional farm animals and horses around the area.

For food, I tried a few dishes in the two times I have been there and highly recommend the following:

  • Binalot (good for 1-2 people)

  • Crispy Creamy Tapang Taal

  • Pizza Longganisa

  • Pad Thai
