Vieux Chalet, Swiss Cuisine in Antipolo

2013 was the first and last time I made a trip to Vieux Chalet in Antipolo when I went food hunting with my family, but it was such a long, traffic ridden drive, I never found a reason to make my way back. However with alternative routes that have been opened throughout the years, specifically with the C6 road operational and accessible through Taguig, I thought that it would be a good idea to check this place out again and get to visit the (relatively) cold and elevated city of Antipolo, which is the next best thing to the Baguio scene this side of Metro Manila.

The ride to Antipolo is a relatively short one from my location, at a mere 20 kilometers, but does feature some scenic routes that I enjoy. The route along Laguna lake in C6, and the entry point of Taytay from Metro Manila where you see a sudden change from Urban landscapes to the beautiful and lush hills of Rizal are truly stunning, and is a sight that delights me every time I have taken this route.

Vieux Chalet used to be known for their Osso Bucco, but they did not seem to have it available during my most recent trip. The alternative dishes we consumed certainly did not disappoint though, and I would say that I personally might have enjoyed them even more than the Osso bucco I tasted years ago.

If you are looking for a nice, relatively short ride and want to take a special friend, family member, or significant other to partake in a fancier meal and dining experience, this place is sure to impress.
